Senate
Appropriation Update 4/17/03:
The Senate
Appropriations Committee Thursday
afternoon voted 9-4 to send the
Department of Economic Development
budget to the full Senate. The budget
includes 15 million dollars for the
Division of Tourism.
Most state
programs and services were cut at least
15 per cent below the governor's budget
recommendations in the new Senate
committee budget blueprint.
The full
Senate is expected to begin debate of
the budget next Tuesday.
